New OrchidTalk Lobby
You'll notice a big change when you enter OrchidTalk--the new lobby!
The lobby area gives you lots of info at a glance.
Instead of scrolling down to the bottom of the main forum to get all of this, (which is what most people seem to do), you can immediately see who's online, forum stats, etc.. If you have put any items up for sale or trade on the orchidBids site, two auctions are chosen and displayed randomly to give everything there more visibility. You'll also see a list of the six most recent threads down at the bottom.
If you log in at the lobby area, you'll see a pic of your avatar, and any private messages you might have in your inbox. You can click on your avatar to edit it, as well as access your UserCP by clicking 'User CP" in the section title.
If you are confused and just want to go to the forums, click the "Orchidtalk Forums" link on the left, in the Site Navigation box. Or, scroll down past the two auctions and click the big "Enter the OrchidTalk forums" link you'll find under its own heading. Either of these will take you to the OrchidTalk main page. Alternatively, you can click on one of the recent threads, and get taken into the forums that way.
If you are inside the forums and want to get back to the main page and not the Lobby, click the "Orchidtalk Forums" breadcrumb link that appears at the top left of every screen. To get back to the Main Lobby, click the logo at the very top of the page, or scroll to the bottom of the page and click "OrchidTalk Orchid Forum -- Grow Orchids!."
