    Cool Psychopsis mariposa var. alba

    Back in April, on a visit to a local nursery, I was given the opportunity to choose a plant from a tray of Psychopsis mariposa. Out of the dozen or so plants only one was alba and I didn't even notice as I was trying to choose the healthiest looking plant. I held my breath while I repotted the thing a couple weeks ago and apparently it likes it's new digs. For the first time I have three blooms at the same time. The heat has the first two looking a little rough, but I don't care...i'm just excited a mule-earred oncid has survived my care this long.

    Three at once! Shoot Connie the gosh darn plant loves ya! I have long thought of this orchid as being special and one I wanted.................Finding a healthy looking, good size plant has been a problem though. Connie, your plant is the best I've seen, so you done real good! AL
