Sunlight does expose everything, but I think the colors and texture are better seen.
Cirrhopetalum cumingii was named by Dr. John Lindley after Mr. Hugh Cuming, who collected the type specimens, in 1838.
The plant is endemic to the great island of Borneo and various islands of the Philippines. Found at about 500 meters elevation, it is an epiphtyte.
