pest and my catasetum roseoalbum spike

i had been noticing this little fellow hopping around my orchids for sometimes. a few days ago it broke on bud of my roseoalbum. a little bit frustrated at that time but i guess it didn't bother me much until i notice this this morning. the tip of the spike was broken along with several buds with it. i guess that reptilian bungee junkie must had broken it off while he was hopping from one plant to another.
gosh,,,,,,,the spike was the longest i had so far, it is over three feet long until this morning.......

just look at the last pic of the culprit, with such an arrogant look and it really thinking of throwing several punches to the face. hahahahaha
i can't remember the exact name of this creature but i remember Yew Sung(Cattan) posted about this one before.

Hi Ian also known as the Oriental Garden Lizard or Changeable lizard like Chameleon in South Africa this one though very tame so naughty, so sad.

Yes Ian, you remembered. It is a female agamid lizard, Calotes versicolor. I posted pictures of both the female and the colourful male Calotes. I think it is the mating season again. I just saw the female 2 days ago. Very useful to have around to keep down the beetles and hoppers.

thanks. the word agamid rings the bell now. thanks for the info. some iguana feeds on orchids flower, i hope this one doesn't, haha.
just hope she will not mess around with the second spike that is forming.

What a cute little lizard you got there to bad about the broken flower stalk though. I also have a few lizards that are in and around my orchids I like them because they eat a lot of bugs and pest but I haven't seen them cause any damage to my plants like what happened with yours but I'll have too keep my eye out with all the new flower stalks that are forming
