Orchid "seeds" up close

A dendrobium that flowered last year has had seed pods developing over the winter. I cut them off this morning after I noticed them opening. When I sat them on the table tiny white seeds poured out like sand. So, just for fun I thought I'd share what they look like.

looks like dust............ had no idea the seeds were so tiny?

Those are quite large most are like dust so that the wind carries them away

The Encyclia tampense pods are like dust. I rubbed a couple on a tree out back last year. I dusted these onto a palm tree out front. I'm hoping for nature to take her course and turn them into plants some day.
