stubborn cattleya

i have this cattleya for almost 5 years, its refuse to bloom
no single old spike shown on the top of the bulb
i just repotting this into new pot due rot in the middle side.
there're 3 new growth, new roots and healthy leaf.

not sure how to make it bloom, or maybe i bring a cool growing cattleya to the sea level? any advise?

I also had a cattleya just like that, what i did i put it in the garden where it will receive direct sunlight in the morning. Of course, some leaves were scorched but after a few months it bloomed. IME, some cattleya would love to feel compacted before they bloom. goodluck

When ever a Catt refuses to bloom, I also try to increase the light gradually. Do you know the name of this one?

Hi Mojamoja, thanks will put this on different east side of garden. now she's on west side garden which is hotter comparing on the east side because getting sunshine from 12 to 6. i put her on lower side because they get reddish color on the leaves, what's the red color means?

Hi Ron, i lose the tag when repotting or its discard by accident. she's the 2nd cattleya with those reddish on the leaves. will she be okay with the reds on leaves?

usually red on leaves indicate high light levels. With high light one also needs to increase fertilization. After repotting one should keep at a lower light for a few weeks while the plant re-establishes. Mid day sun may be too hot for it. Better with morning or late afternoon sun

From the color of the leaves it looks like your cattleya is getting plenty of light. I assume that you're using fertilizer regularly. A commercial grower told me that he uses some extra calcium on his plants if they refuse to bloom. It might be worth a try.

My 2 cents worth from my part of the world. When my Catt leaves are showing "red" it indicates tome that they are getting too much direct sun.
