I know there is a lot of discussion, opinions, and information out there about orchid fertilizers, but I would like some more information on this.
I have grown orchids in a greenhouse in Arkansas for many many years, and have had pretty good success with them. Always interested in improving, however.
I get confused regarding fertilizer. I sort of switch gears from using a standard balanced fertilizer, like 20-20-20 to rotating with bloom booster, growth etc. Also not sure it is necessary, but I use urea free on Phalenopsis.
I have read where orchids don't utilize urea nitrogen well, and do not utilize ammoniacal nitrogen well.
I know there about as many opinions as there are orchid enthusiasts, but would really appreciate some strait forward input on this.
I have used Grow Better fertilizer and am considering trying MSU fertilizer.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated. I have Catelleyas, Dendrobiums, Vandas,
Ascosencas, and Phalenopsis.
Thanks for any input I can get on this.
Nicholas
