Cool Epi. Mabel Kanda x Enc. flava

I am in love with the tiny flowers on this plant. I didn't get a good flower count, in spite of the plant being in all but full sunlight all summer. I am going to try it in full sun next year and see if it can handle it. Meanwhile here is it's latest spike of flowers. One side note; on the tag it says Encyclia linearifoliodes, but Orchid Wiz says the accepted name is now "flava".

What a large plant...sorry for such a short spike....I thought with a bulb that size would have been much more.....with these crosses sometimes I wonder what exact qualities the hybridizer was looking for when the cross was made...
