Degarmoara Pluto's Drummer 'Pacific Pink'

I found my new grow area is looking a bit empty so I went and bought a couple more. This is one from my local high end garden center.

It is a Degarmoara Pluto's Drummer 'Pacific Pink' which is an intergeneric hybrid of Brassia x Miltonia x Odontoglossum.

I found the below info on-line but I am not able to judge its accuracy.
'Degarmoara and Beallara has been extinguished and subsisted into Aliceara since Odontoglossums and Cochlioda have been transfered into Oncidium.'

So does that make the name Aliceara Pluto's Drummer 'Pacific Pink'?

ususally cochlioda and odonto were known to be cool growing so people in tropical countries stayed away from them....whereas oncidium and miltonia and brassia was alright....now this would confuse things and further research would have to be done to see what can grow in tropical climates

I have an orchid by this name, and it is significantly different from yours. Clearly related, but mine has red in the white areas. I would post a picture, but don't want to hijack your thread. LOL

I did buy mine toward the end of the life of the flowers. Since I took the picture on Sunday, I've lost like 5 of the blossoms. So perhaps, it had just faded.

Next time it blooms, I'll post it again (next time proud because I bloomed it).

They're definitely different flowers. In fact, I think I've seen yours before also, but can't remember where. The spike blasted on mine the last time, so these pictures are from the time before.

This color difference in the same type flowers is normal. Usually I see this happen when one is bloomed where it is warmer than the other. Reds and Browns are especially sensitive to temperature. I remember bringing in orchids from Hawaii when we were selling commercially and some would be in bloom and then when other buds opened on the same plant the colors would be different. I think you have the same plants.
