Masd. Casa Anakar in buds

I discovered that one of my Masdevallias is in buds just yesterday! I want to share this with you as I am over the moon. I didn't actually believe that any of my masdies will re-bloom. Pictures are not great because I didn't want to take it out of the "green house" just in case buds will blast. Enjoy!

Maybe you can give me some tips....my Mas. Erinacea is my 1st Mas. orchid I have ever dealt with and it just keeps depleting. The leaves turn yellow and shrink and I cant get it to bloom.

I'm quite new to Masdevallias but they grow nicely so far. I'm still figuring things out myself I think you have to find out what conditions your Masdevallia likes and then create them for her. I know that my Masdies like cool and humid and that's what they get. 4 of my Masdies are plant divisions and I think I will have to wait or them to bloom until they are bigger and stronger. They keep developing new leaves and root like crazy. Casa Anakar is a hybrid and is a big plant. I hope it helps good luck.
