This one is a native Australian Cymbidium which is an epiphyte. Mine was growing high in the fork of a huge tree which was deemed to be dangerous, and was felled by the local authorities for public safety.
My son, who was in charge of the felling, was not going to see it put through the woodchip machine, so he rescued it, and brought it around to me.
I'm so lucky! It has tiny little green and brown flowers about the size of a lady's small fingernail.
I have shown the photo with my dog to give you some idea of the size of the plant and the log.
