    Default PEOF spots

I recently acquired a PEOY orchid and was hoping that the spots are not an issue; I have looked at the other posts but am unable to find an explanation of my spots. See photos below:

Looks like physical damage to me, not an infection. Notice how the plant is growing around the spots.

I agree with Sean. Nothing to worry about. In fact, that's a very healthy looking plant!

This orchid is one I have never even heard of. The spots however, I agree with Sean. They look like they had perhaps been previously kept in an area that leaked direct sun onto some areas of the plant. I know alot of nurseries will cover the inside roof with a meshy material so that when they open the latch roof to provide light and air it will still help keep bugs out. Sometimes when these get holes the sun can shoot through them like a magnifying glass.

OH! Thank you all so much. This plant wasn't cheep and I want to do the very best by it; like all my orchids. Your assurance is very welcoming. When I saw the blooms on the PEOY I was just stunned. Thank you all so much for your help. MEL
