Yamadara Rio's Curly Lip and Eplc. Pixie Charm

I finished moving the cattleya section onto the back porch today and plan on starting in on the vanda section tomorrow. It's been a ton of fun finding spikes and buds. Here are a couple colorful catt's. Pixie Charm is a large plant and when it has more blooms I'll update this post. The Yamadara is a nice large plant as well, but for some reason this is the first blooming in a year or so since it arrived. The flowers are adorable and the color is very unusual on the petals. Hopefully it will give a few more flowers in the future.

wow love them both...large plants...your area looks like it dries out fast...ode to your large plants....i have a humidity of maybe 92% year round and six months rainy season so any dead roots quickly disintegrate....very hard to grow specimen sized plants in pots without the centre old bulbs rotting...while im typing im looking at the pixie charm in that deep pot....i would have had to divide and repot years ago unlesss mounted...how lucky you are connie...and i hate growing under plastic...doesn't seem natural and plants respond better to rain water...of course potted plants make neater and better plants for showing purposes...i can always use a special clay flatter orchid pot with nothing more than some 2 inch washed gravel and water more often or the recently acquired plastic mesh pots i got from OFE...both still not the best for showing
