    Smile Lunchtime Peloric Phal

    I went to my local orchid nursery at lunch today. I was not intending to buy anything but I came across the only peloric phal they had (a NoID) and snagged it.

    Had my Brother Lancer turned out to be peloric, I would not have purchased this one.

    But this one is pretty!

    Some of the flowers are beat up but it has a number of new buds growing and both spikes are starting to branch.

    Well that is certainly peloric , will have to see if it is fixed or just conditions that have caused it.

    Thats it I am buying this one for you. Everyone should have a nice peloric in their collection. Unfortunately I can only afford to send it to you after it blooms and want to wait until the risk of cold damage goes down but I promise its yours.

    Oh, that's gorgeous Kim! Peloric AND striped! I'm so worried my peloric mini isn't doing well, I left it in the grocery store moss too long before I repotted it and didn't pick a good pot for it. It was so tiny I didn't have anything proper for it. It is growing new roots though, so I'm hopeful.

    Too bad terp doesn't want it. Upon further inspection i found a genetic defect that causes part of the lip to grow on the bloom and it has two lips under all that folding. Guess its mine now
