Nice one, Veronica!
Is she that creamy yellow, or a purer white? Flashes can really distort the colors in a photo. I think the most challenging part of orchid photography is getting accurate colors.
Welcome to the addiction! Give into the force at the orchid show! You can always find another husband...

Thanks Julie!
The colors are accurate. She is a creamy yellow.
The easy way to get accurate colors is not to used any mixed lighting. If you are going too use flash, make sure that that is the stronger source. and then just change the color temperature in your camera for the respevtive Kelvins.

Veronica,
Welcome! And you have a beautiful phal! WOW! Stunning. I love the brown/red center. Good growing!

Hi Veronica,
I'd like to followup on your lighting tips, but I need a little time to research your suggestions and ask questions. Can we move this thread to the Phal. photography forum, so I can ever find it again?
The forum has grown so, and it hard to find stuff at times...
Thanks,
Julie
I just moved the thread, Julie. Hope it helps!Originally Posted by Piper

LOL - Thanks, BD!
The forum has grown so large, I often have to really dig to find past posts. Older age=more confusion.

Julie: If you have any questions about lighting techniques, let me know, I might be able to help you! let me know what kind of camera you have, and if you use a separate flash or just integrated. Digital or Film.
