Please help! My rhynchostylis has dried roots and red leaves.

Just last month while purchasing cattleyas, the lady seller gave me a rhynchostylis for free! (I really don't know the subspecie. I asked the lady but she was clueless). The thing is the rhynchostylis is reddish in color and the roots were drying up.

I wanted to salvage it since this type of orchid is rare in our place. I don't know how I can save it. Can anyone please help me?

posting a photo would help. rhynchostylis as a genus resents repotting and would have to be careful. I would suggest rain water and some seaweed extract to promote rooting and provide a lot of humidity.

Really have to thank you for this suggestion... Last time I checked the rhynchostylis, it developed 2 new roots!

Thank you very much for the suggestion! I don't know how to post a photo yet. I will try to post a photo once I learn how.

It was bareroot when I received it, hence I did not repot it. When it was given to me, a small root, the only root which seemed alive, is about an inch...it had a brown tip, so I didn't want to do something drastic which could kill its last root.
I chose to hang the plant using chicken wire under a tree. (I think what I did is stupid but the lady told me NOT to use any potting medium so that root rot will be avoided.)

I water it with rain water every other day. I don't think seaweed extract is available around our place but if I can find some, I will try it.

Any tips on how I could provide a lot of humidity? Since I hanged the rhynchostylis below a tree, I am not so sure if it is receiving a lot of humidity.

I am not much of a photographer and I took this using my phone. Please forgive the quality.
The red leaves fell off earlier and the rhynchostylis only had 4 remaining shriveled leaves.

Red leaves is a sign of too much sun exposure. It needs a rooting hormone for sure, partial shade, and as soon as roots start to grow I would place it in soil/bark until it is strong enough to mount.

I already placed the rhyn in a shaded area (underneath a tree branch), the roots seemed to be growing quite well. I am planning to mount it on a bark, which hopefully will be soon enough.
The problem that I had encountered recently is that two of its leaves began to shrivel and turn a bit yellow. Does it had to do something with the temperature?
I'm living in a tropical country and the weather here is getting really hot (the hottest that we have so far was 94 degrees fahrenheit).
will watering daily help keep the rhyn alive?

if it is grown bare root. you will have to water/mist them daily.
