    Default Ascocentrum christensonianum

Hello everyone! My Ascocentrum christensonianum is blooming and I'd like to share some photos. First time it has bloomed and I believe this was a seedling. Grows very easily in my conditions and takes quite a bit of sun (that's why the plant is nearly purple). Hopefully it'll get more blooms next time and branch!

Connie: yes, it is! I'm surprised there hasn't been more done with these miniatures like with mini Phals / Dens / Catts which you see at any grocery store.

    Wow. That's beautiful.
When I saw the title of the post I was thinking Christensonianum vietnamica. I thought Asco./Vanda christensonianum was the new name when lumped together.
At the Acadian Orchid Society's Short Course this past year, Dr. Motes was there. About half of his booth were these mini Vandas. (Yes this is now a Vanda per Dr. Motes's presentation.) I bought 6 mini Vandas and 3 are crosses with christensonianum. I was wondering why they were blue/purple.
    Thanks! I've learned something.
