Unhappy Help needed ASAP for Jumellea sp with rot!

Newly purchased. I'm suspecting it is crown rot. This is my first time dealing with this kind of rot. Should I cut the black part? The rot seemed to be progressing very quickly. Any useful advice is very much appreciated.

Sorry about that Azizan. Doze the crown with hydrogen peroxide immediately and hang the orchid upside down for a couple of days and then spray only the roots and allow it to produce a side shoot

Thanks for the reply. Good news, it has few side growths. Bad news, I don't have hydrogen peroxide at the moment. Any other remedies?

    Alternatively

    1) use Listerine original(golden brown liquid)
    or
    2) Use 2 tablespoon bleach in a gallon of water

    and
Cut 1 Fan below the rot and seal the wound with Cinnamon powder

I think this method is applicable for me. Do I spray the liquid before or after cutting?

No need just cut off and put the cinnamon powder and keep him dry, all the best.

Thank you for the reply. By dry you mean the crown only or the whole plant?

The crown only say for 3 to 5 days is more than enough if the disease is not progress that is a good sign. Make sure avoid the rain water too as Kuala Lumpur is raining season.
