Dendrobium oligophyllum

I can not take any credit for this bloom, this is one of the 6 orchids I purchased this past weekend at the Miami International Orchid show. From the old spikes on this orchids this looks to be one that blooms for a long amount of time as I see two more buds that have a way to go before they open.

Thanks Michael! I had no intention of buying any more orchids then the ones I had pre-ordered from some of the vendors that I do normal business with that were going to be at the show, I am running out of room. When I saw this one I could not resist, there is 1 more that I had no intention of buying before I went to the show that is in the process of opening that I should post in a couple of days.

There is another orchid show this coming weekend and also a group of 4 nurseries that are having a open house that they normally have at the same time as the show, they are all within a 4 mile radius. I have never been to 3 of the 4 nurseries so I hope to make it out of all of these without buying anything, well maybe a couple.

I think if needed we all find that extra spot for a new arrival if not many new arrivals-Im going to take over the top outdoor area soon as im the same-running out of room-PS-dont tell the Mrs.

I bought one last March and it was fine but developed mites and I was unable to save it. It was the only mites I had so they must have come with that orchid.

Anyway, keep any eye open, they seem susceptible.
