    Talking Phalaenopsis deliciosa

Recently acquired to replace the one I murdered in my early days. But I remembered the one that I got before was not a miniature (3 or 4 times bigger) but this is definitely a miniature or perhaps Phalaenopsis deliciosa has different variety? Any input is very much appreciated. I read that the flower of this species only last 1 or 2 days, 3 days maximum so I have to snap a picture even though it is not fully opened yet. Hopefully, this little one will thrive for many, many years to come.

I have two Phal. deliciosum, but album, a number of years, the other has yet to flourish, in my experience I have noticed that thrives best in the raft and into brighter light, although widespread, Phalaenopsis, if I remember correctly, it is also fragrant, unfortunately the bloom is short..

I saw a picture of comparison on internet > http://bluenanta.com/static/utils/im..._000151186.jpg (NOT MY PICTURE!)
The one that died before was big, can it actually grow that big like in the picture?

Pretty flower on this! Pity about the longevity though. I don't think that plant is that big Azizan. They have used a piece of rain gutter to control dripping water and I know in Canada that is 5" wide.

I think the died one that I had was a little more than 5'', two leaves maybe 7'' or 8'' across. I am not sure if it was due to good culture practice or a totally different variety. Whether big or small, I am totally happy with it and no complains. Thanks for that info.

I hope yours will bloom soon! If I'm not mistaken this species is free flowering and a sequential bloomer (bonus)!

This is the plant. The biggest leaf in the picture is only about 5.5 cm long.

The species is very easy to grow and flower too. In the wild I noticed they are in abundance especially in Perak and Kedah.
