    It will flower on those two new growths if it is going to flower.

    I hope!! I wasn't sure if they bloom off the large old growths, I'm a fairly new cattylea grower, this will be the first one that I have bloomed, I got it from gold country orchids 2 years ago, I also have an svo awarded acclandia going into bloom, but I got that one already initated

    Cattleya Peckhaviensis is a hybrid of C. aclandiae and C. schilleriana, which are closely related with similar bloom habits and seasons. Once both are acclimated to your conditions it should behave much like the C. aclandiae. And I agree it appears to be capable of blooming on those maturing growths, but probably not until late summer or fall.
