I've always wanted to grow clematis again. I had a couple of really huge ones when I lived in NC. But Calif weather just doesn't suit them very well.

I've found that they'll actually grow here in Oklahoma, but they do take more TLC than they did back in NC. Missed my Armandii bloom this spring, because that little nan who showed up and stayed ate it to nubs. She's now under control (to her chagrin), and the armandii has recovered beautifully - hopefully next year?
