Out and about in the garden today, such as it is... took a couple quick shots of one of the daylilies and some zinnias breaking out. Still overcast until well afternoon in this part of So. Cal.

We have gotten lots of rain the past week too. Everything is so lush right now. The back yard is hidden because the grass is so tall. It has just been too wet to mow. Hopefully today we will do it.

Diane, the daylily is so beautiful. I put out about 40 different bulbs and have about 20 that came up and are in bud right now. There are about 5 different ones, but they all are getting ready to bloom!

Summer temps can wait! Because of the rain, it has been so cool here. (In the 60's-70's!) It is wonderful. Yesterday was graduation at the university and we always have it outside. This is the first year in ten that I was not about to die from heat in my academic regalia!

Your zinnias are beautiful too! I have never had much luck with them. They always grow really tall and don't do much else. Thanks for sharing the photos!

Pretty Daylilies and Zs . Rain Rain and more rain , My Peonys are in full bloom the rain/ wind broke a couple of the bloom stems , I brought them in the house .. I did not know the flowers smell like roses ... Thanks for sharing your pretties . Gin

Your day lillies are beautiful, I miss the spring flowers that I had up in Md. but growing orchid outside all year makes up for it.
