wake up... fix yourself a good cup of coffee [from beans grown in your neighborhood]... walk out onto the veranda of your little house... and be treated to this kind of view on Christmas Day.


Volcan de Fuego [Volcano of Fire]... letting off a little steam...
15 miles away... 13,000 ft high... and it's lower slopes are home to upwards of 30 species of Orchids.

I was in Jalapa last year and the coffee was SO SO good. I still have a lilttle in the freezer but it is not the same.
Those Veracruzanos sure are good growers!

I know, it is unfortunate that you cannot enjoy the foliage, Pete. But you've got that nice blue-ish schlimii, that's pretty cool!
When I was taking pics yesterday I tried to take that all into consideration, except the den. pic. I need to stop photographing my plants against trees!

The only fall color I can easily see is the bright yellow color. The others I don't see at all.

Really nice, Heather. Heck of a view! Scotty, I love Mexico. It's not just the scenery, it's the whole different attitude about things. I think we're all pretty fortunate, though, to be living in the places we do.
