Sriram, you do not have to keep Mimi Palmer as wet as the other more conventionally semi-terete-leaved papilionandas, which are often top-dressed with sawdust when grown in pots. I have Mimi Palmer almost bare-rooted growing in a clay pot, exposed to the elements. So far roots are ok and has bloomed multiple times. You might want to give this a try.
Wow! That's too bad; I think you would really like this one. Your humidity level is probably the same as here, so it must just be more prevalent in your area.
