I was out on my porch a few minutes ago, and noticed an unusual visitor! Ladies and gents, the Assassin Bug...

That is creepy. What exactly does it do? I get that it kills something, but what?

    Cheers!

Not sure what in particular they prefer to eat, but do you see that big spike on his face? apparently they use that to impale their prey! i just think theyre such cool looking predators.

Taht's one crazy looking bug! It sort of reminds me of the stick bugs that we have around here.

How long is that guy? I'm afraid if I found one wandering around in the house I would scream like a girl and then squash it!

Let me correct myself, I would scream like a guy screaming like a girl, then get a long stick and squash it, unless it was right by a door.. then I'd try to flick it outside.

Ah come on Diane! Poor little fellow can't help his tough appearance; I would gently pick him up in a Kleenix and escort him outside. I think you want to keep him calm--isn't this the type of bug that makes a stink when they are alarmed?

    LOL!
