Oncidium Jiuhbao Gold Blooms

I posted a thread in the ailment section concerning my Onc. Jiuhbao Gold spike dying from the tip down. Well, I repotted it into a smaller pot and after a few weeks, here it is. Definitely one of the prettiest that I've seen. The markings are deep burgundy rather than a faded shade of brown. And the blooms are huge.

Isn't it amazing how these yellow dancing ladies last and last and brighten up the whole room? They are one of my favorite types of orchids. And yours have such wonderful large flowers!

I have one of these guys and can't wait for it to spike! How big are your flowers? I think they get larger than 2".

Sorry for taking so long.

Flower length of the biggest flower from top to bottom is 2.5in and the width of the skirt is exactly 2in.

I have been itching since September. Just want the temperature to drop straight down to 15 degrees and stay there till April.

Yes maam, they have been sharpened and waxed (all 4 pairs of them, each for a different condition). Too bad I can't sell my skis here. I have so many. Throughout the whole year, it is this season that my plants get neglected the most because I'm never home.

About the flowers, it has been about 2 weeks and the texture of the bloom is very thick and firm compared to others like Grower Ramsey or Sweet Sugar. I will try to see how long they last and add one more post to this thread when they go out of bloom.

LOL, Trung! You should invest in those deciduous Dendrobiums that don't want water or fetilizer all winter!
