Thoes are so beautiful I love masdevallia b ut have no chance of growing them its a bit warm around here.will they stand 80 degree days indoors?
Jason
This is warm grower, it takes 55-85F in temperature, some extrems also allowed, though it might risk bud blast in the hot days.

Beautiful and interesting too !!

Lovely flower, it looks like it's reaching out to grab something.
I have a constricta primary hybrid (Masd. Peach Fuzz), that gets the warmth tolerance from consticta. It's nice, because it means I can grow a Masd on the windowsill, which I didn't think was possible. Thus far, it's working, but it is taking a lot more frequent waterings than I first thought. I've set the open basket inside a slightly larger clay pot to try and hold a bit more humidity around the plant.
Qing, do you grow your constricta in a temp/humidity controlled space?
Julie
Mine is mounted on cork bark, and I put it in a fish tank. It is still required daily watering and I was using a fountain pump and a timer to water it on the weekend (it is in my office). Sometimes the dripper was not pointing at the plant or the timer was not set to auto, so the plant did not get a drink all 3 days. It has blasted 6 or 7 buds since I got it, but these 4 made it and all opened up.
