can someone help me?

I received this orchid for my birthday and i've been watering it once a week and feeding it once a month. I keep it in my living room next to a window. I'm not sure why the leaves are turning yellow and it looks like the stalk is drying out from the top down. Any tips would be really helpful!
Oh and can someone tell me which type of orchid this is?

It looks like a Bllra (or have they renamed those too?). I think maybe too wet. Try watering every 9 days or so.

Is your blind always closed like that? Mine of this type like a lot more light. And the pot may be a little large for the size of the plant.

I'm thinking either a Beallara or a Degarmoara, but the lips of both tend to flare outwards more. Still, Dgmra Winter Wonderland isn't far off. You're lacking the purple spots.

It was night time when I took the picture and I close the blinds at night, it's usually open during the day.

I let it air out a little longer after watering instead of returning it to the pan right away and it's doing very well. Thanks

I was going to say that humidity could also be an issue- my orchids always seem to do better when the humidity is higher....try a pebble tray under the pots?

White Fairy doesn't have frilly petals and sepals...can't be that.

Looks like the plant has been overwatered and underlit.
