    Default Shuttle Launch

    We just watched the Shuttle launch, it was so cool. Now keep in mind that we are several hundred miles south west of the cape but we could see the shuttle for several minutes after lift off.
    Here are the pictures not to impressive but still I think that it is really cool. The yellow dot above all of the other lights is the shuttle.

    ...oops, forgot to look for the shuttle! We are on the opposite side of Florida, and it can be seen from here...

    That is cool, Cin!

    I was down in Orlando for a sailing regatta in late '93 or early '94 and we waited up to watch the launch of a shuttle. It was a whole lot bigger, but still far away.

    Isn't it amazing what wonder and hope the sight of a launching rocket brings to mind? It's so much better a legacy than for those who grew up in Europe during WWII.
