Oh, Yes!!! It's ORANGE!!
It's so cute with the purple lip and yellow-orange nectary! It looks like it's made from sugar paste!
Is it rare, Nelson?
I just looked it up in Jim Cootes' book. It's the only species of this genus and was named in 1989. Eric Christenson believes it's bird-pollinated. Once again your photo is surperior, Neson!
McJulie
Looks like candy or sugar glass! Yummy!

It is beautiful ! so is the photo . (drool) Gin
Gorgeous, like spun sugar candy!
Ive been doing some research on this guy and Ive heard its super hard to grow. Nelson, can you give a word or two on it?
it thrives very well in intermediate conditions. Plenty of air circulation and bright shade. As you can see the medium is primarily fern chips or coco fiber.
Blooming is during the start of the cooler months for the Philippines, December usually.
