Picked this guy up while buying some food for dinner as he's just so different from the standard pink and white Phals that are normally sold in supermarkets. He has huge, slightly pointy leaves, branching spikes and quite a few buds which I hope won't blast.

Sorry I my mind is focused on the slipper orchids. gigantea could be possible I suppose if the leaves are really big. They are also used in spotted breeding.

Even all the garden centres I have been to fail to identify hybrids. You are lucky if they tell you it's a miltonia or a phalaenopsis. Mind you, it hasn't stopped me wanting to buy them so far....
