Paph lowii problem??!!

Hi everyone. Just back from a well deserved break and back to my greenhouse looking at all that is flowering here, all doing well! BUT....my paph. lowii seems (to me) that something is going all wrong! the plant is flowering for me for the first time since I've had it, nice strong plant and now in bud, but the bud looks very dark!! are the flower sheaths for these plants dark or have I got rot on them? the flower spike have not yet emerged but I did pull back the leaves a tad to inspect and the flower sheath is a brown dark colour. Is this normal? will the flowers developing within be ok? or is it just to late? HELP!!!!!

some sheaths are dark, I never noticed how a lowii sheath looks. If it is rot then most likely the sheath is beyond hope.

Thanks for that. still hoping that this one may be ok, keeping the orchid much drier now as another growth has a new sheath in it and don't want that one going off also. Fingers crossed that I may still see a flower on this plant...been two years and this is it's first time, what luck...first time and something goes wrong, oh well! put it down to experience.
