Whats going on here?

I received this plant(Phrag hirtzii x Grande) in the mail yesterday. A lot of the leaves have this leathery look. I'm just curious about what is going on here.
Even tho the plant isn't exactly as described, I repotted it so I probably couldn't return it. It does have new growth so I'm hopeful.
I'm kind of new at this so it's the 1st time seeing this, so any advice would help.

Possible cold damage? I would contact the vendor and send them a photo and ask for a replacement. You did not order a damaged plant and unless they described it to you as damaged or slightly damaged, they should replace it - or at least make it right.

I was afraid of that. The auction ad said I can return it, unfortunately I re potted it and the growers tag is at large.
So, no tag, new pot, I might just have to wait to see what the new growth brings.

I agree. It looks like a chilly-nip. Hopefully, the leaves don't turn black and get mushy on you..

(I would at least email them about it...)

This is the worst time of year to buy orchids through the mail, unfortunately...

Oh Oh doesn't look too good. But hang in there, orchids can definitely surprise you. Give it lots of TLC and positive energy!
