Love the stripes!
Too bad those don't grow well in the heat of Florida....well usually it's warm. Right now I could grow those on the front porch....lol....brrrrrr. I know I know....it's only in the 60's during the daytime, but for a newly replanted Floridiot that's downright chilly!! lol

Beautiful blooms, so striking!!! I can't grow these either...my first (and only) one I ever had looked at me and died right on the spot![]()
There are quite a few Masdies that don't require really cool conditions, but (and it's a big but) virtually all of the really showy species do need the cool conditions. There is hope with the hybridizing going on, but for me, Masdies are a lost cause because I always let them get way too dry between waterings.
