In Jan the Phal had flowers but while in bloom the spike got broken off right above the steak.
I'm not sure what's growing from the broken spike.
How I leave it alone? Is the old spike ok or should I cut it?
Here are a couple pix. Thank you!!!!!!!!

Yes those are flower spikes. When a spike breaks, often these will come out from nodes. The flower spikes will also do this after flowering, if cut back to the first node below where the flowers were at.
Good Luck...you should see flowers in a month...maybe sooner!
I agree with Connie. It looks like you will get a nicely formed spray. Are the flowers large? white? What else have you got going on there..... Dendrobium phal? Vanda?...
The flowers on this plant are very, very light pink w/ dark center.
I have a couple vandas, couple oncidiums & Dendrbiums.
But I decided to kinda go with the cattleyas. Since I'm new I want really work with one specific family & learn all I can.
But I really love all of them........ What beauty in these plants!!!!!!!!!
You will have beautiful flowers soon!
