I found this noid girl when I was taking out the trash this morning. It still had two wilted flowers hanging out in the medium (they looked like they were white with some purple or pink) and the spike was still fresh. I took it home and found out that it just started a new spike. The roots are healthy, maybe a bit dried out but very healthy. I cut down the old spike to the last unbloomed node and we'll see what. With a little luck I'll have nice white/purple/pink flowers in a month or two.
I just can't understand why people would throw it out if it's completely healthy but has only lost the flowers on the current spike. It's not like they have 100+ orchids and don't have space for this one.
I took it to work this morning and will keep it until I go on study leave at the end of the month. After that a lady at work that I've recently got addicted is going to take it over as she has just moved and has plenty of space. I guess that's one more for the saved/rescue list.
