This is my first vanda spike in over 4 years! I gave up on vandas as I just couldn't make them last past the winter. For some reason, I thought this plant would produce yellow blooms, but it's this weird shade of orange instead.

hi tess,
im happy for you! dont be disappointed about the color, orange/red is suuuper!
tess
thats beautiful. is this the famous vanda spike? love the color, dont worry about the
color, you can simply remedy it by getting a new one hehe.
I really like your 'weird shade of orange' flowers. They are bright enough to cheer up even a dark dreary day. It is such a cheerful color, it does remind me of 'sunglow'.
Marilyn
nice orange vanda beautiful.
nice color!
Tess, that's beautiful!! I sure wouldn't be disappointed with that color!!
And are you convinced yet? From now on, I am going to refuse to call you by any other name except Tess, the terrific orchid grower!! What's your hubby going to do to torture you now (except maybe bring home more orchids? Have you sent him to the market lately?)

Yeah, that orangey color is growing on me. I went out there right at sunrise this morning and the orangey color was super bright in the morning light. My 5-year-old says it looks like a fruit roll-up!
