    Default Coelogyne xyrekes

    A species from Thailand, Malaysia and Sumatra. It blooms sequentially. It is a fairly large sized flower about 2" x 3.5". I had purchased this one as a bare-root division from a Thai vendor. Actually bought 2 but one did not make it

    Margo it is a cool to warm grower so should do fine for you outdoors all year. Likes dappled shade. It may be a difficult species to locate. I would offer a piece of mine to you but it is a slow grower. I only get one new growth a year. The spike arises out of a developing growth. The flower is pendent so would do well in a hanging basket, as I am growing mine.
