    Default Liparis condylobulbon - 26 spikes

    I had previously misidentified this plant as Liparis parviflora. Its distribution is widespread, being also found in Thailand, Indonesia, Sulawesi, Borneo, Taiwan, Australia, The Solomon Islands, Samoa, and Fiji.
    The first closeup was taken with a flash, the second without. Which do you prefer?

    my liparis is in bloom right now, i cant take a good photo of it as it is too small but it kinda looks like this, it was sold to me as dancing lady back in april or may.

    Oh, that is so cool. I love the close-up shots of the blooms. They do look like a dancing lady in a big skirt.

    only 26 spikes Nelson? I think if it doesn't perform better next season, it's off to the compost heap... or in a package heading to me!

    26 Spikes?!

    I like both closeups, if I have to choose one, the first one with flash brings out the softness of the green. I guess I like the first one more.

    Get to see some very rare orchids on this forum. The close-ups are well executed, and I prefer the one with the flash. The individual flowers look really pretty.
