A Philippine, New Guinea and Surrounding islands minature, hot growing, epiphytic species said to be a synonym of Dendrobium platygastrium found at elevations of 0 to 500 meters in dense humid forests near watercourses with very compressed, flattened pseudobulbs carrying a few, distichous elliptic-lanceolate leaves that blooms in the spring and again in the fall on a 1 1/2" [3.75 cm] long, erect, few [5] flowered, racemose inflorescence that arises from the nodes near the apex of leafed and leafless canes.(From IOSPE).
I like the flat stems.
