    Talking Paph. Druid Spring-finally I got one!

    I have had this on my wish-list for a long time, so I was really pleased to spot the one plant hiding in a corner of a vendor's booth at the NCOS show. It is :

    Paph. Druid Spring (druryi 'Ray HCC/AOS x primulinum flavum 'Flutter')

    The pouch is a little wonky, but I suppose that will get better in next flowering, it is a very bushy plant, so I don't think I will have to wait too long. Plus it has 2 more buds behind the open flower...I just love these sequential hybrids!

    That is gorgeous! I am so glad you managed to get one, the little wonky pouch is rather adorable, but I am strange I like the waifs and strays that arent quite right LOL Though as you say next flowering it might be a better shape in some peoples eyes. Thanks for sharing it with us, I really think it is a beauty.

    Congratulations Meg, it's really beautiful. I'm not a paph expert, but I would say that yellowish paphs are quite rare.

    Beautiful! I like how the druryi really comes through in this hybrid.. you get the pretty-ness of that species and the ease of culture of primulinum! Great choice!

    Exactly bench72!- no waiting 3 years for a growth to mature before it blooms, and sequential bloomers=awesome!

    Beautiful flower and healthy foliage, too. It is so rewarding to get one from our wish list. I have noted with Orchid Shows, the really stunning paphs go fast. Great find.
