hi folks,

this thrixspermum is found in south-east asia and so far the most beautiful and interesting for me!
i takes 3 full days to open fully and i documented it, bloom lasts only 1 day, but as you can see on those long spikes, it keeps on going....
no fragrance though and i wonder what pollinator it has.

here we go, dont you like the opening stage, a squid like monster...?

i have amplexicaule, centipeda, hopefully elongatum somewhere (no blooms yet), and 3 noid's, and 1 looks similar to your japonicum. will post the one soon, if jim can id it for me.

you have any pix of yours? just to compare with mine.
