    Question Golden Delicious dendrobium orchid in bloom!

    Dendobrium Moschatum. Gosh those bugs are fast! This Dendrobium produced 3 blossoms today and by the time I got around with my camera some bug had already taken bites!
    The flowers measure about 2"+ in diameter, are apricot colored with a maroon center and are very fragrant/irresistable, therefore the caption "Golden Delicious!". I also have another Den. plant which produces similar blossoms in size, except a lighter cream color with the maroon center. Know their names by any chance? Thanks.

    Could it be Dend moschatum? I thought moschatum is a spring bloomer after a winter rest. You can google on the name to get more pictures for comparison.

    Hi Lizgeo,

    I checked images on Google and your are quite right, it is indeed a Dendobrium Moschatum. Here in the tropics it seems to flower sporadically, not only at one given period of the year, plus we don't have a real spring season like you do...
