Thank you all for the nice comments . RSJ, I don't know if I already have the knack of taking care of Phals, because I still kill one or two of them from time to time.

Gilda, there is no secret in growing this plant. Looking at the pic of your awesome collection of Phals, you surely know more about growing Phals than me . This Phal is mounted on a piece of tree fern slab (I killed 2 previously by growing them in pots) and it stays outdoor under filtered sunlight during summer and it gets as many rain as the weather could give (but I do draw a line when it rains nonstop day and night for several days, and take the plant indoor). I fertilize it weekly with 20-20-20 orchid fertilizer.

Well a shilly is one that I can't grow !!! Mine is slowly declining(in a pot)...it is fine till winter and then it gets the dreaded rot... rescued it last year but not looking promising this year....I think it is too late to try it mounted.

I'm so sorry Gilda, . You could try again this summer, good thing about Schilly is it is not as expensive as the other Phal species. Good luck .

I don't think we had any communications before. Unless you tell me who really Jumpluff is, I can't be sure. I tried to visit your homepage, but I guess I need a flash player installed . I've had problems with macromedia flash player before so I am having a second thought about installing it again.

Gorgeous! I'm jealous. I keep missing out on Phal. schillerianas. Everytime I get a lead on one, someone gets there ahead of me. If I ever *do* manage to find one, I'll aspire to your awesome level!

What an incredible display of flowers.
Even though I promised myself not to get anymore phals I will certainly keep an eye out for one of these.
