Incredible difference between the two--almost hard to believe they're the same cross!
i know... var. one had callosum as pod parent, var. two had red prince as pod parent.

An amazing difference, to be sure. I wonder if that carries through on all the progeny, or just certain clones.
"they" say that the plastids are inherited via the capsule parent and thus color may be more strongly influenced in that direction...however, crossing two bona fide vinis will still only produce a percentage of vinis, presumably due to various linkage mechanisms.
then again we're trying to draw global conclusions based on a couple of plants. i'll shut up now.![]()
