This Paph is the slowest thing I've ever seen, and it's taking forever to open fully, but it is in bloom. I've been holding off posting photos, in the hope it would open all the way, but frankly, I'm not so sure that's going to happen. Not sure if our very cold (for Florida) weather is affecting it, or maybe because it was supposed to take two years to bloom, but was in bud within six months after I purchased it.
So, if it should open further, I will post more photos, but for now, without further ado, I give you my very first grown from scratch, Paph Wardii bloom. TA-DA

. It was about 1/3 open. These guys don't like to dry out when starting to bloom. My alba one was shipped to me in bud last year, was very dry, and promptly blasted when I received it. The good news is the alba set another growth and has a bud in the process of opening. Amazingly, didn't blast while I was gone and so far so good
. But also very slow.
Congratulations Anne! Great growing.
If it is soft, then it may have been damaged by the temperature issues you mentioned. You will know in a day or so if it was damaged because it will start to spoil.
