Yeah, I also noticed the lateral sepals but I didn't know which to attribute it to. Thanks for the renanthera info.

Love the spots, and such a rich red... just wow...![]()
Thank you Rick. Yes, the Dinah Shore is a lovely deep red, darker than the other two. It is a more vigorous grower too.
Absolutely stunning!
Thank you Ms Cheryl.
The flowers on the second spike have begun to open. Now that's more color for my orchid pillar.
I didn't expect the flowers to open so quickly, especially since the first spike took quite some time to develop.
wohooo more Red.... or is my eye bleeding?
A sight for sore eyes perhaps? LOL
Here are a few plants that come close and are worth investigating a bit more:
Mokara Kelvin (Arachnis hookeriana x Ascda Habanananda)
Mokara Dinah Shore (Aranda Christine x Ascda Yip Sum Wah)
Kagawara Megawati Soekarnoputri (Ren Tom Story x Ascda Fiftieth State Beauty)
Renantanda Professor Jamilah (Ren Kalsom x V Pimsai)
Renantanda Mary Robinson (V Nellie Morley x Ren Tom Story) for #3
With many of the red ones, it's really hard to tell
