my newly acquired Potinara Burana Beauty;
does this need repotting? will it not stress the plant if i repot this now or should i repot after the bloom has ended?
how about division by cuttings how do i do it? is it after the flower has wilted?

This is one of my favorites and blooms several times a year for me. Good choice and nice looking plant.
thanks bill,
i was really amazed with the beauty of the flower when i saw it last time i saw it in one of our local garden store, feeling restless and spending sleepless nights, i decided to acquire one.
i think the pot is already full and i'd like to make a division cuttings, the question is when and how do i do it?
Looks like it has lot more space to grow.
This is also one of my favorites. Looks like you have a nice healthy plant.
I am not sure your cattleya type orchid is ready to divide, but if you would like to divide and repot it, check out the guide on Repotting and Dividing your Cattlya orchid on the RVO care site.

Boy, I wouldn't divide it just yet as the plant still has a lot of space to grow. And bigger
plants equates to more blooming. And definitely a good buy.
I agree with the others...I wouldn't repot this one. I would however, add a little more potting stuff to the top of the pot. There is plenty of room in this pot for the roots to fill in. Nice looking healthy catt! Good buy there...
thanks for the helpful tips guys![]()
