Found a great way to raise the humidity. Can some venison. The humidity is up to 85% at the moment.
Ah yes canning. I grew up doing that every fall. Except we canned corn, beans, beets, tomatoes...anything vegetable. lol I remember it being steamy, but on chilly fall evenings that can be a bonus. The orchids must be loving the steam!
That's what I kept telling the mom in law today. The orchids are loving this!! She of course said well, as long as they are happy.....
So... you put venison in a can and left it near the orchids? Am I understanding okay? Why does it raise the humidity?
I put venison in a jar, put the lid on, put the jars in the pressure cooker, heat it up, let steam escape as it cooks. That raises humidity to make happy orchids. Of course, if they would like to come to the table when it is time to eat, they are more than welcome. They just have to get there on their own and I will know they are hungry for it!
Oh! That makes sense. I didn't quite understand how it would raise humidity, hahahaha. Thanks.
